She is an artisit who interested in interdisciplinary topics that can evolve into thought provoking and meaningful exhibitions as well as be case studies that exist beyond the exhibition for further exploration.

Formal Analysis:

In her project, ” Nature’s Cadence”, Soroudi plans to express her life journey on leaving her country to United States. She protrays her life journey as planting her succulents. She was just like her succulents, remanining strong no matter in an new environement.

Content Analysis:

The whole point of her project ” Nature’s Cadence” according to her interview is to help her overcome the challenge when she moved to a new country where she is absolutely unfamiliar with. Just like her succulents, they are drought resistant which means they can grow without any hydration. So she was kind of take her plants as a motivation to keep being strong in a new environment.

Personal Thoughts:

When I was watching her interview, I felt like there was so many connections between me and her. I am also a international student who left my home country- China at a young age. I was scared that I would not adapt a new environment, but turn out I was actually doing pretty fine. Just like her succulents, no matter how tough you are going to go through, just be confident on yourself, and you will make it.
